Special purpose barge
Special purpose barge is widely used in the construction of maritime work, transportation of special equipment and other special fields. We commit ourself to the market development of special purpose barge used in maritime work from initial period. We successfully open the market for special ballast barge in Korea in 2004. This kind of vessel is mainly used to transport large size steel among China, Korea and Japan. Up to now we have built 11 ballast barge in total. And we become the largest exporter of ballast barge in China in 2006. We occupy an important position in Korea special ballast barge market. The technical difficulties of special ballast barge are the installation and debugging of special ballast system. This is more difficult than the ballast system for common oil tanker and general cargo vessel.
This vessel is one of the 2000M3 opened mud lighter we built for Singapore in 2003. The hull of this vessel can open and close automatically. It is mainly used for land reclamation. The technical difficulties of opened mud lighter are the installation and debugging of special hydraulic system. This is more difficult than the hydraulic system for common oil tanker and general cargo vessel.
This vessel (in left picture) is the floating concrete mixer we built for Shanghai Construction Engineering Bureau which is used to build the donghai bridge at Hangzhou bay in Zhejiang. It is an important contruction vessel for this project. The vessel was completed in August, 2003. And it has two 5 tons crane and six cement tanks which is 14m high. At that time it is the first 5000 tons floating concrete mixer built in China.
